Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman is a photographer and author based in London. With an MA in Geography from the University of Oxford, his principal speciality has been documentary reportage with a focus on Asia, specifically China in recent years. Two of his most recent books have been Tea Horse Road: China’s Ancient Trade Road to Tibet (2015) and The Life of Tea: A Journey to the World’s Finest Teas (2018), winner of the Fortnum & Mason Drink Book of the Year award. He also writes extensively on photography on www.michaelfreemanphoto.com and @michaelfreemanphotography.
