Dr. Elisa Guerra-Doce is an Associate Professor in European Prehistory at the University of Valladolid, Spain. In 2022 she was awarded a fellowship funded by the Next Generation EU programme, and joined the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, University of Cambridge, as a Visiting Scholar. She is conducting a project about altered states of consciousness and social complexity in Copper Age Iberia. Her research interests include psychoactive plants, fermented beverages, and salt in Neolithic and Bronze Age Europe.
